Kicillof Focuses on Legislative Sessions Amid Political Tension

On March 5, the opening of sessions in the Buenos Aires Legislature will take place, according to sources close to the strategy of the Buenos Aires governor. Until that moment, Axel Kicillof's activities will be focused on management events, thus postponing the campaigning. This decision will allow the governor and his team to evaluate the electoral calendar based on the resolution taken by the Senate regarding the future of the PASO, which directly impacts provincial legislation.

In La Plata, they are waiting for Congress's signal to define possible modifications, such as the suspension of provincial primaries and the electoral separation requested by the Buenos Aires mayors. Despite the pause in campaigning, the sectors supporting Kicillof plan to release a document this week, signed by social leaders, union members, and mayors, praising the governor's management and calling for the construction of a broad political front from Peronism to confront the current government.

For his part, the Buenos Aires governor, Axel Kicillof, decided to suspend his party acts to avoid diverting attention from the controversy surrounding President Javier Milei regarding the so-called "cryptogate." All of Kicillof's efforts will focus on the beginning of sessions in the Buenos Aires Legislature, as confirmed by a member of his political team to the Argentine News Agency. An event scheduled in Mar del Plata has been canceled for the second time, and other meetings planned in Junín and San Nicolás have also been put on hold.
